1. Services and scope
Tim's SEO Lab provides website design and development, search engine optimization, content marketing, local SEO, and generative engine optimization services. The specific services, deliverables, timelines, and prices for your engagement are defined in a written proposal or statement of work. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it begins.
2. Quotes and payment
Website projects are quoted as fixed prices and billed 50% to reserve the build slot and 50% at launch (or in agreed milestones for larger builds). Monthly programs bill at the start of each month and are month-to-month unless your proposal states otherwise. Invoices are due within 7 days. The first month of any monthly program carries a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied with the work and communication in that first month, tell us and we refund it in full.
3. What we can't guarantee
Search engines and AI platforms control their own results; no provider can guarantee specific rankings, traffic volumes, or AI citations, and we don't promise them. We do guarantee the delivery of the named work in your plan each month, performed to a senior standard and reported transparently. Examples and figures shown in our marketing materials are illustrative and do not constitute a promise of individual outcomes.
4. Client responsibilities
You agree to provide timely feedback, content, and access (via least-privilege roles we set up together), and to confirm that any materials you supply don't infringe third-party rights. Timelines assume responses within 5 business days; delays on approvals shift delivery dates accordingly.
5. Ownership
You own your domain, your content, and — upon full payment — the website code and deliverables we produce for you. We retain the right to reuse our own pre-existing tools, internal frameworks, and know-how, and to describe the engagement (anonymized, unless you consent to a named case study) in our portfolio. Accounts we set up on your behalf (Analytics, Search Console, hosting) are created in your name and stay yours.
6. Cancellation and handover
Either party may end a monthly program with notice before the next billing date; billing stops at the end of the current month and prepaid unused months are refunded pro-rata. Within one week of ending, we hand over project files, documentation, and access records. Website deposits are non-refundable once build work has started, reflecting work already performed.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from services is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. We are not affiliated with Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, or any search or AI platform, and their algorithm changes are outside anyone's control.
8. Changes and governing terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to active clients before they apply. Continued use of services after an update constitutes acceptance. Questions about these terms: hello@timseolab.com.
